JARVIS TIMBERWORKS was established in 2024 by Kirk Jarvis. Kirk and his father, Charles Irving Jarvis Jr. moved to Tuckerton, New Jersey in 2006. Irv was living in CT having retired as a television producer and director for WPIX Channel 11 in NYC, directing shows like The Magic Garden, the original holiday Yule Log, beauty pageants worldwide & countless WPIX TV programming. Irv then transitioned to independent documentaries in his "retirement" years. Kirk was in NYC acting & writing screenplays. They moved to South Jersey and together created a video production company dedicated to making educational & community-orientated documentaries, corporate videos & commercials. They had no idea that soon after moving to Jersey they would embark on a string of documentaries about the rich history of South Jersey, one being a sustainable forest management film called:
"A WORKING FOREST, it's future with Fire, People & Wildlife"
Following the lead of nationally acclaimed forester, Bob Williams, they traveled as far north as Menominee Indian Reservation in Wisconsin and down to Tall TImbers in Tallahassee, Florida & several states in between documenting cruical aspects of sustainable forestry caretaking - the film hosted by Georgia tree farm owner, legendary conservationist & Rolling Stones keyboardist, Chuck Leavell.
Irv Jarvis passed away in 2019, but not before enjoying the latter years of his life within eyeshot of his birthplace Atlantic City while making indie films & enjoying time with family. Kirk is still producing indie films & videos as owner/operator of:
All that forestry exposure must have seeped into Kirk's pores because with the help of mother nature's resources he enjoys the creative woodworking process & has launched JARVIS TIMBERWORKS. Kirk continues to write original screenplays as well as song lyrics when not sanding & varnishing into the sunset...
